More Blocks

Blocks recieved for Sophies Quilt

Young Sophie is now out of the medically induced coma and is apparently doing well, as are the number of blocks that have been recieved doing well. Only a few more are needed to start assembly of the quilt. It is going to look fantastic. Thank you to all the wonderful ladies who have worked hard to get these done in record time.

Fabric for the back of Sophies Quilt

I found this gorgeous fabric today while out shopping with mum and thought that it was perfect for Sophie. Lots of pretty pinks and purples and little butterfly nurses.

BRAVE SOPHIE

For the second time in her life 5 yo Sophie Delezio is again fighting for her life at Sydney's Childrens Hospital after being hit by a car. Several years ago she was trapped under a burning vehicle which had careened through her day care centres walls and subsequently Sophie had amputations to both legs and hands, She has also had severe burns to her body, but this young lady is a true Aussie fighter and pulled through and started school earlier this year. The tragic news last week that she was again in hospital after being hit by a car while crossing the road is indeed saddening and tragic for Sophie, her parents and family, hospital staff as well as the Australian community as a whole. She is currently in a medically induced coma to aid in her recovery. This blog is by members of The Craft Magazines Forum members who are currently working hard on a beautiful quilt for Sophie, and for them to post progress pics for you to see.
